Buffet Menu Spring/ Summer 2025

Our buffet menu is designed for more free flowing events where guests will help themselves as and when they please. Suitable for an informal meal or a standing event

Mains  

Please choose 2 Meat/ fish courses , 1 vegetarian course, 2 side dishes and a dessert

Fresh baked bread and green leaf salad included in the price

£40 per head - minimum numbers 15 people

Aubergine parmigiana & Macroom mozzarella - Layers of fried aubergine, a rich tomato sauce, parmesan & Irish mozzarella — Can be made Vegan 

Beef and pork ragú lasagna - Slow braised beef and pork ragú layered between hand made pasta and topped with a rich béchamel sauce

Chicken and leek pie with a puff pastry lidChicken & sweet braised leeks in a creamy Dijon sauce topped with a hand made puff pastry lid

Cauliflower mac and cheese gratin with smoked scamorza & crispy lardons- Cauliflower florets & macaroni pasta covered in a cheesy béchamel sauce , topped with a melted scamorza & finished with crispy lardons — can be made Vegetarian 

Fidget pie - High sided pie made with buttery shortcrust pastry,  filled with ham, potatoes , apples, cream & cider

Leek & wild mushroom pie - Pan fried wild mushrooms & leeks incased in buttery shortcrust pastry - can be made Vegan

Traditional fish pie - Smoked haddock, prawns & cod in a light béchamel sauce topped with a crispy cheesy mash

Grilled salmon on warm Niçoise -  Crispy salmon served with a salad of warm baby potatoes, french beans, olives, tomatoes, & soft boiled eggs

Mutton hotpot  - Slow braised mutton and onion stew covered with crispy scalloped potatoes 

Slow roast onion & gruyère tart - Melted onion and gruyère in a crispy filo case

Sides and salads

French bean, toasted hazelnut, dijon dressing - Blanched green beans dressed in a dijon dressing and covered in crushed toasted hazelnuts

Garlic and rosemary roast baby potatoes - Crispy roast baby potatoes with sweet garlic and rosemary

Courgettes, almonds, mint, lemon dressing - Grilled courgettes with toasted flaked almonds and in a fresh lemon dressing

Panzanella salad - Italian bread salad with tomatoes, basil, parmesan and capers

Smashed cucumber, dill and shallot salad - Refreshing salad of cucumbers, dill  and picked shallot 

Potato salad with cornichons, capers, dijon, crème fraîche dressing  - Classic potato with a creamy mildly spicy sauce mixed with the tang and salt from the capers and cornichons

Fregola with roasted summer vegetables - Giant pillowy Sardinian cous cous mixed with charred roast vegetables and fresh basil

Desserts

Tiramisú - Layers of coffee soaked  biscuits, velvety sweet mascarpone, covered in a dusting of cocoa powder

Sticky toffee pudding - A gooey light sponge of dates and toffee sauce with softly whipped cream

Chocolate brownie with salted caramel - A dense chocolate slice with rich salty caramel on top

Apple tart - Baked  Bramley apples incased a sweet shortcrust pasty with softly whipped cream

Bread and butter puddingRich custard , bread and sultanas baked with a crispy brown sugar top & served with pouring cream

Treacle tart - Sticky sweet tart made with bread crumbs, golden syrup and a short crust pastry base served with crème fraîche

Poached pear and almond tart - Pears poached in a wine & sugar syrup baked in frangipane and a shortcrust pastry; best served with softly whipped cream

Orange and almond cake - Rich aromantic gluten free sponge  served with crème fraîche
