Pear and Thyme – Private Catering, Kilkenny, Ireland

By placing an order or booking a service with Pear and Thyme, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. General

Pear and Thyme is a private catering company based in Kilkenny, Ireland, offering external catering and prepared meal collection services. All bookings and services are subject to availability and confirmation.

2. Food and Produce

  • All catering menus are subject to seasonality and availability. Pear and Thyme reserves the right to update the menu with prior notice.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to inform Pear and Thyme of any dietary requirements, food intolerances, and/or allergens at the time of booking.

  • While we make every effort to accommodate dietary needs, this may not always be possible. Additional charges may apply for special requirements.

  • All food is prepared in a shared kitchen environment. While steps are taken to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Individuals with severe allergies are advised not to consume our produce.

  • We recommend that all food is refrigerated immediately upon delivery.

    • Grazing boards should be consumed within 2 hours due to being unrefrigerated and uncovered.

    • Pear and Thyme accepts no responsibility for the condition or freshness of food consumed beyond the recommended timeframe.

  • Food should always be stored in a cool, covered area away from direct sunlight until ready to serve.

3. Delivery, Mileage & Equipment Rental

  • A mileage or delivery fee may apply to services provided outside the Kilkenny area. This will be advised at the time of quotation.

  • For events requiring equipment rental, a deposit and/or collection fee may be applicable. Details will be provided in your quotation.

4. Staffed Events

  • Events are not staffed unless explicitly arranged under our Private Chef service.

  • If service staff are requested, this will incur additional charges, confirmed in advance.

5. Pricing & Quotations

  • All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

  • Minimum guest numbers apply to certain menus. Please refer to specific menu details or contact us for smaller group enquiries.

  • Final pricing may vary based on availability, menu changes, special dietary requests, or event logistics.

6. Payments & Cancellations

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit is received.

  • Full payment is required one week prior to your event.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling may be made up to 2 weeks prior to your event date. While deposits are non-refundable, they may be transferred to a future date within 6 months, subject to availability.

7. Legal & Compliance

  • Pear and Thyme is registered with the HSE National Environmental Health Service and operates in full compliance with food safety and hygiene legislation.

  • Our team has completed the required training in food safety and hygiene, and we undergo regular inspections by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.
